Making the Lady Gaga-Inspired Statement Earrings

October 2025's inspiration was Lady Gaga, and I swear, every time I do a thing, I get this sinking feeling of "WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? HOW IS IT GOING TO WORK" But it does, every time.

The inspiration behind these handmade statement earrings

These are silver glitter, spiky, and finished with crystal eyes. Can you tell what outfits inspired them? Each pair of earrings comes with the following card insert.

The eye in the middle is her eye of course, with a heavy winged liner. I used ACTUAL eyelash extensions for maximum effect. For the iris, why not an iridescent skull for Mother Monster? The bubbles are a nod to her crazy bubble outfit, and the iridescent spikes, well you can guess by the photo below! 

How I make my acrylic earrings in Austin

Like every Statement Earring Society box, this one started as a drawing. Once I was happy with the design, I made the acrylic pieces right here in my Austin studio and put every pair together by hand. Seeing a sketch turn into a real pair you can wear never gets old. My sketches are absolutely kooky chicken scratch, but I know in my head exactly what I want them to look like in reality.
